Places...

This is a list of Places we have been and our recommendations....

Clonmacnoise

This is the 1,500 year old (almost) monastery site in West Meath, Ireland.  This is possibly the most amazing place in the entire world - not at least because this is where we both realized we were in love with each other.

This is a view of the "Whispering Arch"

Another view of Clonmacnoise.

Kinvara

These are two pictures of the wonderful little fishing village of Kinvara, and which we visited while I was in Ireland.

The Burren

The Barren is a very mystical landscape, very rocky and quite surreal to be in.  It is very hard to describe this to another person who has never seen it.

So here's some pic's.

Doolin and the Cliffs of Mohr

Doolin is a quiet fishing village on the other side of the Burren from Kinvara.  It's a nice place with a few pubs and a couple of shops.  Watch out for the local musical talent though - it's not that they are ....rustic more sort of rusty to be honest!  (No...seriously).

There is a ferry that leaves from the pier that will take you to the Arran Islands.

Trim

Trim is a small but busy town in Meath, birthplace of Arthur Wellesley (The duke of Wellington) and is also famous for some other reason but I can't remember exactly what right now.

    Things to see in Trim!
Trim Castle - As seen in Braveheart in several different disguises!, and has a good tour conducted by the friendly Duchas (heritage) people.
A big column that says that Arthur Wellesley was born here.
Ruins near the Castle.
The Video Rental shop.
Um....Kim will kill me if I go on. :)

Trim is well worth a visit but you will probably only spend a couple of hours here!

Newgrange

Anyone who knows anything knows what Newgrange is!...ok...so I didn't till Kim told me...

Newgrange is a ancient monument which is over 5000 years old!  It really is an amazing thing to see, especially since you can see the other monuments in the area - Specifically Knowt and Dowt which you can all visit by going to the brand new Visitors Center at the car park.

Dublin

Um....Help. :D

Louch Lene and Dera Vara? (spelling??)

Two small lochs or Louch if you are Irish, which are both really nice, Dera Vara is quite difficult to find, but Lene has both WC amenities, and a Large Tarmac car park, although the water is slightly suspect at the moment.

The picture here are taken from www.moytura.com please visit it - It's pretty cool :D
